LETTER to the EDITOR

Many people think that most teenagers want to be famous. I'm a teenager and I don't really want to be famous, but I want to do the things that famous people did before they became famous.

I wouldn't like to be recognized anywhere or have no private life. I would like to do something to help people, for their health or for their happiness. It would be great if I discovered the cure of cancer or any other illness that has no cure at the moment!

I would like to create an organization for charity to help people from the third world, and I would also give some money or a shared house to those people who sleep in the streets.

It sounds better than being a football player and having everything only for you, doesn't it?

NON-Stop F A S H I O N!

What's it about? NON-STOP FASHION is a programme where people is able to know the real meaning of fashion. Do you want to know how well your superstars can lie? Do you want to know all about the last trends? Do you want to participate in our fashion show? If you are ready to live the greatest experience of your life, you must come here!

Chad Kroeger and Beyoncé are our invited artists. Jay Leno is our TV presenter. The set is situated in a familiar environment, in front of some stairs that will be used as a runway. There will be a sign with the programme name and posters of some artists who have visited this programme.

*The theme song starts sounding. Appears Jay Leno, waving to the public*

JAY: Thank you very much! Welcome to the show! Today is the day when you're going to discover how to be trendy with all these clothes you've never considered “fashionable”. Well, as you can thought I wouldn't be the model, so who better to do this than our invited artists? Let's receive with a big applause Chad Kroeger from Nickelback and Beyoncé!

*First appear Chad, and then Beyoncé. They are wearing trendy clothes. They wave to the public*

JAY: Hey Beyoncé, hey Chad. How are you?
BEYONCÉ: I'm good, thank you.
CHAD: I'm all right. How are you, Jay?
JAY: I'm pretty good, thank you. Well, let's start the show! First of all... Do you know why have you come to this programme?
CHAD: Honestly, I don't know.
BEYONCÉ: Neither I do.
JAY: Really? Oh, I think at the end of the show you will know it as it is your family history. Let me explain it to you: you’re going to try some clothes on and then you’re going to convince the public if what you’re wearing fits you or not. You need convincing them, because if you can’t you will have to sit on this armchair full of cockroaches!

*Chad and Beyoncé make revolting sounds*

JAY: Ok, great! Do we start with you, Beyoncé? You know, ladies first.
BEYONCÉ: I have no option. Well, let’s get pretty!
CHAD: Good luck, babe.

*They go to another room, next to the set. There are lots of clothes. Jay lets Beyoncé behind a small wall before she sees anything. Jay gives her an awful dress and a t-shirt*

BEYONCÉ: Do I really have to try it on?
JAY: You choose, honey: this dress or some cockroaches. Think that with this dress you will be the last sensation in fashion!
BEYONCÉ: Let me doubt it, Jay.

*Beyoncé appears in front of the cameras. She doesn’t look so great. She tries to put good faces but it’s difficult because of spectator’s laugh. Jay’s going to say something but Beyoncé looks him and then she does a knot in the t-shirt. Spectators now look her with good eyes*

JAY: You do miracles with your image, girl.
BEYONCÉ: Yes, I do. A woman has to know how to get away difficult situations.
JAY: I’ll be waiting for a book about that. Well, guys, do that clothes fit her or not?

*More than the half of the raised hands have their thumb raised too*

JAY: Great! Beyoncé, you have passed tour test! Go to sit with Chad, babe. No, no, don’t try these clothes off.

* She’s wearing a bathrobe. While Beyoncé is going to the set...*

BEYONCÉ: Well, this dress is really funny. It’s so coloring and it makes you feel as you’re in summer. By the other hand, it’s a long dress, so it’s elegant and sexy too.

*She sits next to Chad. They share looks. They laugh*

JAY: Hey, dear spectators, remember that you’re watching Non-Stop Fashion, the best fashion programme ever! Well, Chad, is your torn. Do you want to ask something to your rival?
CHAD: Well, I would like she did this kind of “test” again instead me, is it possible?
BEYONCÉ: I’m sorry, but... no, It isn't.
CHAD: I had to try it.
JAY: Come on, Chad, you’re not going to die today!

*They go to the same room where Beyoncé went before. Chad stays behind the wall immediately. Jay gives him an “illegal” t-shirt and a kind of trousers*

CHAD: You are kidding me, aren’t you?
JAY: Right now I’m not, dear Chad. Now it’s your decision: sleep over some cockroaches or wear this. You won’t be the fist in no one of the two decisions!

*Chad snorts and tries the clothes on veeeeeeeery slowly. Everyone is impatient. When he puts himself in front of the camera, everyone starts laughing. Chad turns red. He tries to take off the awful clothes, but Jay stops him at time*

JAY: Hey, hey, hey, hey, man! Wait, man! We don’t know who is the looser yet.
CHAD: I think I Know, Jay.

*They go to the set. Chad talks to a camera while he’s trying on a bathrobe*

CHAD: This t-shirt has cold tones which make my eyes be highlighted. This hides the trousers, which are brown and don’t fit me. However, the elastic bands of the trousers and this spectacular shirt make me seem a serious person. I like it, yes.

*They arrive to the set. Now Chad and Beyoncé look each other as if their lifes are in game. Suddenly, they look to Jay Leno. He smiles.*

JAY: Well, let’s have a look to the stadistics... *Appears an image with them* 21% of the votes go to... Chad! Congratulations, Beyoncé, you won’t touch some cockroaches! Thank you for your participation!
BEYONCÉ: Thank you, spectators! I do hate cockroaches.
JAY: Hahaha. A big applause for her! And now... where’s our looser? Chad, where are you hiding yourself?

*Beyoncé goes out. The production manager comes in. He says something in the ear to Jay*

JAY: Oh, I understad... Thanks, Jake. I’m sorry, guys, but I have a bad notice... Our contestant, Chad, has escaped through the back door. Our cockroaches won’t be crushed today. Poor Chad, he was allergic to them! Hahahaha. The show ends here, my friends. I wish you have had the funniest time of your lifes, but remember: tomorrow more, but not better! Bye, see you!

L E T T E R for a FRIEND

Dear Carla,
You certainly have a big problem!
First I think that, if I were you, I would talk with your parents in a relaxed way. They may not understand or nkow how they are making feel you and because of that they never let you go out with friends.
I also think that you should invite your friends home and let your parents meet them and make them change their minds. Maybe you're not as irresponsible as they think!
Finally, you should be patient and take it easy. Things don't happen immediately!

I hope that my advice helps you.
GOOD LUCK! :D

DESCRIPTION of a P I C T U R E

This photo is about McFly, a rock music band. In the top left corner there is an old gold clock. At the top there is a picture. It's not very clear, but it seems to be a landscape. The walls are brown.
In the foreground there are the members of McFly. I guess they are in fancy dress, because they are wearing women's clothes. I'm not sure, but they could be posing for a magazine. Beginning from the left-hand side, we can see Dougie, the bassist, with a blond wig, a shirt, a tie, some tights and a skirt. On his left we can see Harry, the drummer, with a nightdress, some tights and a brown wig with curls. Next to him there is the guitarist and singer, called Danny, who is wearing a sleeveless shirt, some tights, a skirt, his underpants and a dark wig. And finally we can see Tom, the pianist, guitarist and singer, with a hat, a blond wig, a shirt, a skirt and some tights.
They look like some crazy men, but they don't seem bored.

What do monkeys sing at Christmas?
Jungle Bells, Jungle bells...!

What do you get if you cross an
apple with a Christmas tree ?
A pineapple!

What does Father Christmas suffer
from if he gets stuck in a chimney ?
Santa Claustrophobia!

What do reindeer hang on their
Christmas trees?
"Horn"-aments!

Which of Santa's reindeer
has bad manners?
"Rude"-olph!

LAST CHRISTMAS, by Hilary Duff

"Last Christmas" Lyrics

[Chorus:]
Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me baby
Do you recognize me?
Well
It's been a year
It doesn't surprise me
(whispered) Merry Christmas,
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I love you"
and meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now
I know you'd fool me again

[Chorus x2]

A crowded room
Friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you
And your soul of ice
Oh my I thought you were
Someone to rely on
Me?
I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A friend to discover with a fire in her heart
A girl under cover but you tore me apart
You tore me apart, ooo-ooo
Now I've found a real love you'll never fool me again

[Chorus x2]

A friend to discover with a fire in her heart
A girl under cover but you tore me apart
[Spoken] Maybe next year,
I'll give it to someone
I'll give it to someone special.

N E W Y O R K

New York is one of the cities I would like to visit in the future, because of its shopping centers and its diversity.

It's situated in North America. It has enormous and high buildings, with long streets through them. There is a lot of traffic, so the air seems to be polluted. It's a very noisy city, and it's also dirty. There live lots of people, all of them borned (or not) in different places, with so many religions and different cultures. I think people who live there are dishonest and they are against justice. I'm not saying that all the American people are like that, but I've seen lots of films from there and that's the opinion the taught me. There are poor and rich people too. Depending on the place or area, it smells good and a little bit less polluted than in the streets or incredibly bad because of the rubbish.

There you can visit lots of things, like its famous and long bridge, the Liberty Statue, all the casinos, clubs and shops... There are also museums, parks and art galleries.

Well, I think that if you go to New York you won't keep a bad memory from there.

V A M P I R E ACADEMY.- by Richelle Mead

Yaiza: Did you read the last book I recommended you?
Olga: Which book? Vampire Academy?
Yaiza: Yes, this book.
Olga: Oh, yes! I love it!
Yaiza: What part of the book did you like most?
Olga: When they had sex. Did you like it too?
Yaiza: Yes, I did. But I liked more when they were training, because you could feel the love attraction between them.
Olga: Oh, yes, I liked it too. Let's wait for the last book of the saga!
Yaiza: Let's do it!

C A L A F E L L · {Description'of'a'place}

Calafell is a coast city near Tarragona. It's special for me because I've been there every summer and almost all the weekends since I was born. It's not the most beautiful city with the most incredible beach, but I like it because I keep lots of good memories from there.

Calafell is in the south-east of Catalonia, near Tarragona city. People usually go there in summer, because it's a hot and comfortable place in this season. There are a few number of people that live there all the year. When you're walking through its streets, you can feel tranquillity, silence and you're able to smell the sea, even if you're three hundred meters from it. You can only hear noise or feel the active and vibrant part of the city if you're in the seafront, on the beach, in the “Village”, the way we call the group of commercial streets, or in the harbour. I love these two different parts of the city.

Calafell is a city with a historical past: there you can find and visit a castle, built in the XI century, and you can find and visit too a part of a Roman city. Nowadays we can only see its remains. There are lots of streets full of shops and hotels where you can buy or stay, and it's situated next to the seafront. You can have fun in the harbour too, where you can meet friends, play any sport you want, angle with your ship, have dinner in the restaurants or buy clothes, ships or fishing tackles.

Well, now you know more about this fabulous city. What are you waiting to come?

Yaiza: Hey! Did you like the last song I showed you?
Olga: Ehm... The new Linkin Park's song? Yes, I love it!
Yaiza: Me too! I think it's their best song.
Olga: Did you watch True Blood last night?
Yaiza: No, I didn't. I was tired, so I went to sleep early.
Olga: Oh, then watch it and we'll comment on it later.
Yaiza: Ok! See you!
Olga: Bye!
